Island of Pag is known as inevitable gastro destination on the map of Europe. From the milk of those sheep is being produced high quality hard cheese Paški sir that is famous in the entire world for its unique rich flavor. Near the small village of Lun are situated olive gardens where proudly stand the oldest inhabitants of the island, 1500 years old olive trees. Tour starts with a lovely ride towards the island of Pag. We will make a short break on the Pag bridge from where spreads incredible view on the island and its surroundings. During the drive your guide will give you some information about rich history and cultural heritage of Pag island. Upon arrival in the Olive Gardens follows a sightseeing tour. Among numerous olive trees the most famous are 1500 years old ones of the sort Olea Oleaster. Those trees are the oldest olive trees on the Mediterranean. You will get the chance to taste top quality monosort olive oil made of Mediterranean oldest olive trees` fruits. After olive gardens you will be heading towards Gligora Cheese Factory. There you will be welcomed by friendly hosts who will take you on the tour around the factory. You will be introduced with production and process of cheese maturation. The best part of this tour is cheese sampling. You will be offered various types of hard cheeses of unique flavor, texture and aroma, fresh bread, olives and wine.
